What are the kids learning in Art?

1st graders just completed these fruit still life paintings after learning about the artist Paul Cezanne. Aren't they beautiful?

2nd graders recently learned about the art of Japanese Gyotaku fish printmaking. Each print is unique and no two prints are ever the same.

One of my favorite projects.....cherry blossoms. 3rd graders enjoyed learning about Japanese culture then created these cherry blossoms by straw blowing diluted ink and then painting the flowers.

4th graders learned about Mexican folk art and then created these beautiful repousse tin hearts using aluminum and sharpies!

5th grade learned to create depth using oil pastels to bring these pipes to life. They were suprised by the outcome of these wonderful pictures.
